LBoaM’s first sentences.

“I need more help please.”

“Open this please.”  Of course, he’s practically beating me with a Thomas Train asking me to open something that doesn’t open, leading to one of “those” conversations.

LBoaM: Open this please.

Me: But it doesn’t open.

LBoaM.  Open This Please.

Me: It doesn’t open.

LBoaM: Open This PLEASE!!!

Me: L, it doesn’t open!!!

LBoaM:  OPEN THIS PLEASE!!!

Me: L.  It. Doesn’t. Open!!!

At which point, LBoaM wanders off to do something else.  :-)

Not much to update.

It’s been a while since I posted anything here, and that’s because, well, there really hasn’t been much happening, unless you count the nonsense at the building with the white dome with gold at the top that has cut my salary by 14.2% since the beginning of the year.  But hey, it’s still better than unemployment!

LBoaM’s first sentence was…

“I need more help please Mommy.”

what is the world coming to…

when legal interns who are starting their second year of law school don’t know the difference between “compliment” and “complement”?!

First, let me say that I understand that tragedy happens.  Everyone deals with it in their own way.

That said, I am getting really tired of seeing people’s cars turned into rolling memorials to loved ones.  When this latest fad started, the usual window memorial was dedicated to extremely young people who were no longer with us.  By extremely young, I mean the ones I saw were usually children age 10 and under.  Tonight, I saw a full window customized sticker dedicated to an 85-year old man.  Again, not to belittle anyone’s pain, but really… does the whole world really need to know that someone’s grandfather died 2 years ago?  My suggestion: take the money you would spend on the window memorial and donate it to a charity dedicated to whatever the cause of death was.

But that’s just my opinion.
